It's Tuesday

Because of my busy schedule, I really haven't been blogging. What I mean is creating posts with some depth. It's kind of hard right now, but I'm sure you all understand. I have so much to talk about-- but really don't feel like typing it out right now.

Maybe by Saturday I'll decide to play catch up...maybe ;-)

Love the Weekends--Hate that they go by so Quickly

Saturday was such a relaxing day for me considering it's usually my most busiest day. I literally did nothing--as you can tell from my outfit.

My daughter had to complete a paper for her AP World History class and I wanted to catch up on DVDs. So I finally saw Paranormal Activity. It was awesome! I can't wait to see the 2nd one. It wasn't as scary as thought, but it kept you interested.

Oh! I did go to a doggie boutique and purchased a fall/winter outfit for Levi.

He simply loved it! He loves the camera and he loves when he receives new things.

That's about it though. Today is rainy and a lot cooler; so I'm going to enjoy it. I'll continue relaxing; I just finished cooking a baked chicken and cabbage. Now I'm chillin'.

Why?

I'm sure most of you have heard about what happened to Bruno Mars by now, assuming you know who he is.

If not, here's the scoop, Bruno Mars was arrested on Sunday, in a Vegas resort bathroom, for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).  The bathroom attendant alerted hotel security and when they approached him, they asked him to hand over the narcotics. He said that he had never used drugs before and that he had just acted foolishly.

Why??

I really like this guy. He's very talented--he's co-written songs with B.o.B. (Nothing on you), Travie McCoy (Billionaire) and recently his own song Just the Way You Are--which I totally love.

What would make him do such a crazy, foolish thing? Was the pressure really getting to him? I really don't get these stars/celebs...

I was very disappointed.

Anyway, on another note, I decided to cut my hair. The ends were killing me; therefore, I felt something had to be done. It's not anything dramatic but it's noticeable.

ANTM

Does anyone here watch America's Next Top Model (ANTM)? I watched an episode last night and was taken back by a couple of the models on the show. One in particular was the female who thought the world of herself, and definitely did not see anything wrong with her body---thus, leading to her being cut from the show.

She was super skinny and for some odd reason did not see the ribs and bones poking through her skin, yet thought that she was a great weight for her height. Mind you...the majority of the girls this season are about 5'11" and above. I believe the tallest girl on the show is 6'2". And don't get me wrong--there are a few girls on the show who are very thin, but they didn't look unhealthy and like they were about to pass out anytime soon.

I wondered what was going through her mind?? She said her mother liked her at 135 lbs and now she's like 110 lbs at 6'0"!!!

Seriously!!!

She kept saying she didn't see anything wrong with her body image; that when she looks in the mirror she sees a great body. I don't get it? That girl needs an intervention; something wasn't right. I hope she got help after the airing of that episode. I don't know...last night's episode was sort of disturbing.

The pics below were taken at an earlier time. I've noticed how many of my pants and skirts are suddenly loose fitting. That only means that I may have to take clothes in to get altered. But it does feel good to see that. I continue to exercise and eat right but I don't kill myself in doing so. I do things in moderation and I do still eat what I like and want.

My Go To...

This dress (from H&M)has become my 'go to' dress when I really don't feel like looking for something to wear. I usually wear it on the weekends, while running errands, I throw on some flats and it's a wrap! Today I decided to put on my clogs that I purchased from Shoeland (one of my favorite shoe stores in Atlanta). I'm loving the clog trend right now. It's funny how they bring things back from a long time ago. Of course they make them more stylish...I love it!

I'm still rather busy, but I'm managing to get some 'me' time daily. I've also been reading some of your blogs whenever I decide to take a break at work; it isn't often but I'm making it work.

Oh well...I'm going to play catch up on some more blogs then play catch up on my TV show, The Gates. After that, it's off to bed.

So Long to Another Happy and Busy Weekend

I really don't like how the weekends just fly right by. It's like all that I wasn't able to complete during the week, had to be done over the weekend; thus leading to fly right by days.

However, it was still a great, happy weekend. There were a couple of events happening here in the ATL and, of course, I went to see a movie (Resident Evil).

Today, I just sat down and got some things together; preparing for the week. And also preparing for the season finale of True Blood!!!

And since I haven't really been posting as often as I like, here are just a few outfit pictures beginning on Friday.

Allergy Season for me...

Well, I'm really not feeling too well. Allergy season has begun for me already. I'm usually going through allergies Spring, and Fall (or close to). Therefore, I'm really not wanting to put the effort into finding something to wear; it's like--the 1st thing I see in my closet is what I'm putting on.

I didn't get a chance to take a pic of my work outfit, but here is my after work outfit. I was off to photography class. Now I'm going to bed...I have a long rest of the week ahead of me AND my allergies are pretty much shutting me down.

Catching Up

Today I will try to catch up on some reading...all of my favorite blogs that is. Considering everything that's been going on in my life (working more, back in school, just being a mom...), I haven't had the time to blog as much or read any of your blogs like I want to.

I've read many of your comments on my blog -- you all are sooo nice and...just a great bunch of people. I can't wait to get caught up on yours!

By the way, I haven't taken any outfit posts since Wednesday (**side note--do you find yourself sounding out Wed-nes-day when spelling this day out??**), but I do have one from yesterday.

This week has been a long one! However, I'm very happy that I made it to this day--only 2 more days to go before the weekend. Can you believe that it's already September? The holidays are approaching fast!
