I'm Still Alive

Day: Monday, January 24, 2011

Today I feel: Sore. Saturday I got my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed (both impacted) and I've been in the house resting all weekend, eating nothing but applesauce, ice cream, and mashed potatoes. Today is the 1st day I've been up to do anything and I plan on eating malt o meal for breakfast! I'm not in a lot of pain (knock on wood)...but I still have the rest of the week left. I've read all of these stories of people getting what they call 'dry socket' right after an extraction, that I'm like terrified!

Anyway, I really didn't have an outfit post for today. The one above is from Friday. So it'll have to do for now. Hopefully I'll be back up and running before you know it.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Nothing yet.

Best part of my day: Me finally being able to get up and move around without my jaws throbbing...and taking a shower!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Less pain.

Take Care!
Pin It Now!

Hang in there sweetie, it gets better everyday. Don't worry too much about the dry sockets, just follow the doc's orders and you should be fine.

Feel better. I still have my wisdom teeth but I endure serious dental and orthodontic work as a teenager/young adult that makes me terrified of the dentist at 33. lol

Dry socket? Dont tell me what that is. It sounds painful.

@Sing - thanks...I feel lots better...a little discomfort but better.

@Jamie - thanks! I will definitely not tell you what dry socket is...from what I've heard and read, it IS painful.

I'm just glad it's over...I hope

@simplychic..yes, I was put to sleep! Thank God!!

I don't remember a thing outside of getting into the dental chair and waking up in my own bed.

I experienced dry socket when I got my wisdom teeth pulled and let me tell you I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. You should be fine though. Shoes are too cute and hope ya feel better soon.
