From time to time, I'll come across a blog and the author will state that they didn't post an outfit because it wasn't deemed worthy. Yet, you wore it out?
I'm confused.
Now, I may not wear any Chanel, or have every single Jeffrey Campbell shoe there is, but I do find my outfits to be stylish in some sense or another. Otherwise, I wouldn't wear the clothing outside of my house.
There are times when I know that I may walk out looking like plain Jane...but that's just me. Remember I go for pieces that keep me comfy, yet stylish. I don't care if it's a pair of distressed jeans and Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. I chose to wear it, I thought it was cute, therefore I'm posting it.
It's My Taste...you should be able to wear what you want--what you like.
It is different when someone is starting a blog in hopes to obtain help from others -- trying to change up their style...or update their style in some form or fashion. We all do that in some kind of way.
I will admit -- I do get inspiration from a lot of wonderful bloggers out there. But, I still remain true to who I am. I'm trying to show you guys who I am. I don't dress up everyday, I don't even wear heels everyday (oh wait...maybe I do; every other day). What I'm saying is that I'm not trying to impress anyone. I challenge myself everyday; and yet there are most days that I don't even feel like dressing.
Even on those days...I post. Take today for instance...
Now off to calm my daughter. She's watching basketball and I swear she is going to have a heart attack.

I agree with you, sometimes there is pressure to post outrageous or unique outfits b/c the popular blog gurus we look up to seem to do so. The important thing is to just be yourself, you never know even your "regular" outfits can inspire a reader. Cute comfy outfit!

sooooooo very true!!!!! I don't understand that.....everything I deem unworthy is thrown in the trash or given to charity therefore everything I wear is blog worthy some people are inspired by everyday looks.....in my case I love your blog b/c I am not a person that has mastered the art of casual wear and u seem to always make casual things look soo chic!!!

I love this post because I was a victim of what you mentioned trying all these new styles and trends and not sticking to what i knew because i wanted followers and I wanted to be recognized in the blog world. but during the time that I've had my blog I realized that I can only be myself and my style is my style and no one elses and when I do try to be different it never works so I just try now to be me and be true to myself and if you follow is because you really like my style and if you go it's because it wasnt meant to be. But for some reason my blog has shown me that I can be myself and be happy with me and only me. Im the type of person that wears heels every day and I cant help that so i dont try to be different I try to find better comfy heels but heels are my thing so i cant change who I am .. but anyways cause I can go all day long on here Im glad that I have changed myself to the old me I try new things but keep it "me"

I agree. You inspire me to think differently about what I have in my closet, no matter the brand. You give me great ideas. Keep it up!
Hi Corie!!!! You said that!!!! I have found that the most simple outfits are the BEST! It's what makes self happy! NOT everyone is going to wear or like the same things... I find inspiration from a lot of blogs and try and incorporate it in different looks but I do what I like and what makes me feel comfortable. Thanks for sharing not too many will put it out there!

Love the message in this post. I agree. Thanks for posting and merry late Christmas!
God bless!
Great post! Sometimes we self inflict pressures of being fashion forward forward and fitting in when we should strive to be te best we can be in our own skin/fashion.

i def agree 100! i have been guilty of this a few times myself. but i've gotten much better. i also see bloggers wearing outfits and i wonder, do they REALLY wear that out during the day, or just to take a pic???...but hey to each his/her own.

Great post! You look great in everything!
Corie you do your thing regardless! Dressed up or dressed down, you rock your look and do it effortlessly. I hear what you're saying though. I've been guilty of posting an outfit that I stated was not "post worthy". I've come to realize exactly what you said... What was I thinking?! I wore it, so it must me worthy.
I must say, you're looking quite FAB in that black and blue. The boots are a nice touch.

Love your take! I know some outfits I wear don't make the blog, but it is because I didn't have time to take pictures. I like this outfit too, by the way, very comfy and stylish looking.
