73 Degrees!

Today I feel: Great! We were having spring like weather and it's was just plain gorgeous. I had a great weekend (Saturday especially)...and it's just been lovely.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Me and my Levi taking a walk in the neighborhood..what a relaxing experience.

Best part of my day: My whole day was just the best!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Well I can tell you what I'm not looking forward to tomorrow--the rain. We're expecting rain and only 60 degree temps. The rain is to continue thru to Wednesday. So not fun.

Day: Friday, January 28, 2011

Today I feel: A whole lot better! Minimal discomfort and I'm even off the meds!

Today was such a beautiful day outside. It was like 60 and sunny. Tomorrow is suppose to be even warmer!!! Ya!! I felt free, peaceful and at ease. I think my outfit said it all.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: My daughter and I having this discussion about her wanting to go to a party tomorrow night. The party starts at 9:30 pm. The teen having the party is a senior and that means older teens (possibly young adults) being at this party. On top of that...she's like her ride (another teen's mother) will be picking them up from the party at 1 AM?!?!

So I'm like no. It's past curfew and she's only 16! I'm not sure of other parents, but I just couldn't allow my daughter to be at this type of party, and, come home after 1 AM.

She's not too happy--ya know, she thinks it's the end of the world now. But oh well...she'll get over it.

Best part of my day: Being able to eat french fries!!!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Well...of course the weather. Also movies (minus the popcorn), and hanging out with friends.

Black and Blue

Today I feel: Good. Still taking meds for my discomfort (wisdom teeth), but all in all...pretty good.

I had taken a look at myself this morning and noticed that I almost succeeded in wearing all black today. My jean skirt saved me! I'm not sure what it is--I'm just attracted to dark clothing. I'm not, by far, a dark person; nor do I think that wearing black slims me in any way. I just think it's a safe haven for me. Anyway...like I've said in past posts, I am working on that. Maybe by the spring/summer months I'll fall into the 'I can't stay away from color' mood.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: It was sunny, and 50 degrees.

Best part of my day: Going to the mall and purchasing a maxi skirt out of Charlotte Russe for $2.50!! Obviously it was a mistake, but if the tag shows $2.50....I get it at $2.50. I was told that the skirt is originally priced at $18.90!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Well, it is Friday. I'm thinking about resting up...that's all. In the weeks to come, my weekends will become more eventful.

Today I feel: Pretty good. My mouth isn't as sore...I actually went into work today. Not bad. I even added a little color to my outfit. Trust me, I was so close to wearing all black...again. I don't know if I'll succeed for tomorrow however. Guess we'll see!

Most memorable thing that occurred today: No one really even attempting to speak to me. They knew what was up. It was peaceful and I got a lot of work done. I hope the same for tomorrow.

Best part of my day: Coming home and being able to eat clam chowder!!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Hopefully being able to eat something else good :-)

I'm Still Alive

Day: Monday, January 24, 2011


Today I feel: Sore. Saturday I got my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed (both impacted) and I've been in the house resting all weekend, eating nothing but applesauce, ice cream, and mashed potatoes. Today is the 1st day I've been up to do anything and I plan on eating malt o meal for breakfast! I'm not in a lot of pain (knock on wood)...but I still have the rest of the week left. I've read all of these stories of people getting what they call 'dry socket' right after an extraction, that I'm like terrified!

Anyway, I really didn't have an outfit post for today. The one above is from Friday. So it'll have to do for now. Hopefully I'll be back up and running before you know it.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Nothing yet.

Best part of my day: Me finally being able to get up and move around without my jaws throbbing...and taking a shower!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Less pain.

Today I feel: Better. My wisdom teeth didn't bother me that much. I got through the day with no problems...

Most memorable thing that occurred today: I went to the mall during my lunch hour; decided to go to Charlotte Russe, and I didn't buy any shoes!!!! Maybe I'm coming down with something. That's just not like me. I tried on shoes, liked them all...but decided to not get any.

Best part of my day: Man please....coming home from work!

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Well, I'm suppose to go this charity event with a friend. But I really don't know what to wear. So I may not have that to look forward to afterall... oh well.

Today I feel: Sort of in pain. My bottom wisdom teeth need to go! I scheduled my appointment for this Saturday. I'm suppose to be sedated. I'll do whatever, as long as these teeth are gone!

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Not a damn thing! My mouth has been killing me...it's now bearable. Well...maybe that is the most memorable thing...bearing the pain.

Best part of my day: Knowing that I could get such a quick appointment almost last minute.

Somthing I am looking forward to tomorrow: Less pain.

Today I feel: Like... I was very productive. I actually got quite a few things off of my desk today at work. There were less interruptions and more of me just getting it in.

Best part of my day: Coming home for lunch and getting the best greeting ever from my doggie Levi. He loves me sooo much and I don't know what I'd do without him...look at that face!

Today I feel: I'm in a relaxed mood today. You can tell from my attire. But it's a Sunday, and I don't have anything to do. I had taken my Levi to the doggie park and now he's relaxing in his OWN bed.

Now I can relax as well...

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Well this morning it was watching Levi just run...and run...and you could see that's exactly what he needed. He was so happy.

Best part of my day: Even though the day is just beginning...I'm already relaxed and I see that happening all day. We are having take-out and that's that.

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Waking up!

Today I feel: Great! It's sunny outside. I got up earlier this morning and went to the spa for a mani/pedi and facial/brows. Went a little shopping at H&M and now I'm about to go to the movies to see the Green Hornet. Then it's back home to hang with the girls to see the Falcons kick butt!

Most memorable thing that occurred today: That facial I had...wowzer!

Best part of my day: My spa treatment of course :)

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Taking my Levi to the dog park so he can just run around and wear himself down. That way he won't be soooo playful later on in the day and I can get some much deserved rest.

Today I feel: Good because it was casual jean Friday. But a little fatigued. The office was a bit hectic. Lots of things needed to be done immediately. I did get most of them done.

But when I got home, I decided not to cook. My daughter and I headed to the Golden Corral for dinner. She loved it...I just had to watch what I put on my plate. Everything was good though.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: There was this older, grey haired man at Golden Corral who had so much swag!!! I wish I would've taken a picture of him. He had his murse (man purse) and grey cowboy hat, and this hot black and grey wool coat. It may sound crazy, but he was dressed really well. He even had both of his ears pierced! Wah!!!

Best part of my day: Getting off work. Getting home safely. Yes, we still have icy roads. They're  a lot better than the past 4 days, but they still exist.

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Going to the movies to go see the Green Hornet, then going to watch the Falcons kick the Packers butt!!!

Today I feel: Lucky, fortunate, pleased...

All of these feelings plus more. I've had a good day. I've had the chance to work from home again and not tackle the icy roads. BUT....I have to say that a lot of that ice has melted now. The sun was out. The temps were about 37 degrees. Nice to see the pavement again.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Getting out, in the sun and having fun with my daughter all day basically.

Best part of my day: Just finally getting outside and accomplishing some things.

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: I would say Friday....but my whole week thus far has been great! Even though I worked from home....I still didn't have to go into the office.

What a Nightmare!

Today I feel: A bit relieved that I made it to work and back home safely. It's a total nightmare outside. No salt or sand anywhere. You are basically taking a risk with your life should you drive right now. All I saw was stranded cars, people getting stuck (on the ice), and accidents.

I only went into work to get the things I wasn't able to complete, for the past 2 days, off my desk. There could have been about 15 people in the office. I decided to go back home because I didn't want to be out there on the roads any later.

Most memorable thing that occurred today: Me noticing all of the stranded cars, accidents, and cars that were driven in ditches and off bridges (not intentionally).

Best part of my day: Me getting to work safely and coming back home safely.

Something I am looking forward to tomorrow: Another day of risking my life and my daughter's....should school be back in session.
