Occasion: Work
Today, like any other day, was extremely busy at work. However, there was that break the office received when we got the chance to go to one of our other buildings to have our company business lunch. I don't know about you...but I'm the type of person who keeps to myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm cordial to others, however, I'm not really a conversationalist.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that...I really don't care for these business meetings, but I know that they're important. It's funny though--right away you notice all of the cliques, and I don't belong to any of them. So at times I felt odd, and other times it didn't matter.
It was a good meeting; learned a lot about what's happening in our industry. Lunch was pretty good...that's it though. But, I'm glad it's over.
Now it's time for me and the girl to get our jog in...

Why does it feel like such a Monday?

After numerous photos taken, the only one which came out looking half way decent was this one. For some reason I had issues with the belt, the shirt & the skirt.
And....why does today feel like such an awful Monday?? ugh!

My Weekend...
Not neglecting my blog...just...busy.

I've been busy since Friday! With the girl actually working part-time (she works at Bakers Shoes), this now means that I have to drop her off & pick her up from work. She has a driving permit; not a license. Anyway, she had to work Friday and that meant rushing home from work, picking her up from school because she takes a sewing class after school on Fridays, getting her home to eat, then rushing her off to work.
Saturday I had to take my Levi to get groomed. Hard to see the pic...it was taken from my cell phone.

However, today is much better. I got the chance to exercise and finish The Hunger Games (1st of the trilogy) & a darn good book. Now I'm catching up on some blogging.

In the Rain...
Or lack thereof.

Yep, we were suppose to get some rain today, but something happened. It didn't rain. I had my trusty ole umbrella handy and everything. My outfit even fit the atmosphere--gloomy.
I even got in a 3 mile jog. Truth is -- I really wanted it to rain so that I wouldn't have to jog.
Does this week seem like it's going slow to you?

Quiet...Pleasant...I Like

My weekend was so quiet, and enjoyable. I really didn't have that much to do & my daughter was out with friends. I like days/weekends like this.
Instead of going out with friends, I stayed around the house and I sorted through my fall clothes. I sold some at Plato's Closet; some were taken to Goodwill.
I opened the windows and gladly accepted the cool breeze coming through. I'm currently reading The Hunger Games, so ... I'll say it again, it was a nice weekend.
It's good to feel well-rested.

Exhausted

This is exactly how I'm feeling currently, however, I need to stick to my exercising schedule & get in a run today.
Hot...is also what I'm feeling. It was like 92 degrees out. Even though my blouse was sheer & the material very light, I was freakin' hot!
Annoyed...with the shoes I was wearing. While walking, I kept hearing this 'flip-flop' noise. The shoes are not flip flops! And, how come I didn't notice the sound the first time I wore them?!
Well, enough complaining....tomorrow will be a better day!
Btw...if any of you enjoy America's Next Top Model, it comes on tonight. I believe Nicki Minaj is a guest judge and this season should be very interesting. Tyra decided to bring various back model contestants starting from season 1.
Ok, gotta go!

The Weekend
My weekend was pretty eventful (busy). There were lots of errands to run and tasks to accomplish.
I know that I missed uploading my Feature Friday...with that said, I will post 2 features up this coming Friday.
Work on Friday was chaotic. The only good thing about work was that it was jean Friday.
Here I wore the colored jeans I purchased from JCPennys last week. Cute pant....not loving the fit.

Saturday I had taken some photos of my daughter's friend. She wanted to take new pics & asked if I would take them. 3 1/2 hours later....here are some of her shots.

So before my daughter, her friend, and I went to go see our movie(s) at AMC Discover Mills, we thought to do a little browsing around. She and her friend went their way & I headed off to the bookstore. Then I got this call from my daughter telling me that I need to come to Forever21 because the blogger Jeimy was in the store. So I hurried down.
Let me tell you all, Jeimy is the sweetest, tiniest, and one of the most beautiful people ever! She looks totally different from her blog photos.
I was so happy to meet her. I haven't met any of my Fashionable Atlanta bloggers up until yesterday. It was such a pleasure.
I also met her gorgeous daughter. She was also very tiny, but her eyelashes were to die for. Some of us actually spend money on eyelashes like hers.
Both Jeimy and her daughter were gorgeous. Again, it was a pleasure meeting them both!
Jeimy don't forget....we have to do something real soon!!
So what movie(s) did we see? Contagion and Kevin Hart's Laugh at my Pain. Both were absolutely really good movies. Even though contagion will have me more OCD than what I already am. I will give every person, who coughs, sneeze, or just look plain ill the side eye....I'm just sayin'.
Kevin Hart's movie was hilarious people! You must see. This guy is too much.
That leaves me with today, I had to run more errands but not as much as yesterday (or the day before). So I did get a chance to just chill. Tonight is the season finale of True Blood...& I can't wait! I'm just going to sit at home, relax and wait for it to come on.
