Today, like any other day, was extremely busy at work. However, there was that break the office received when we got the chance to go to one of our other buildings to have our company business lunch. I don't know about you...but I'm the type of person who keeps to myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm cordial to others, however, I'm not really a conversationalist.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that...I really don't care for these business meetings, but I know that they're important. It's funny though--right away you notice all of the cliques, and I don't belong to any of them. So at times I felt odd, and other times it didn't matter.
It was a good meeting; learned a lot about what's happening in our industry. Lunch was pretty good...that's it though. But, I'm glad it's over.
Now it's time for me and the girl to get our jog in...
Not neglecting my blog...just...busy. Forever21 Vest / H&M T / New York & Co Jeggings / Charlotte Russe Heels
I've been busy since Friday! With the girl actually working part-time (she works at Bakers Shoes), this now means that I have to drop her off & pick her up from work. She has a driving permit; not a license. Anyway, she had to work Friday and that meant rushing home from work, picking her up from school because she takes a sewing class after school on Fridays, getting her home to eat, then rushing her off to work.
Saturday I had to take my Levi to get groomed. Hard to see the pic...it was taken from my cell phone.
On Saturday I had like multiple errands to take care of which included the cleaners, grocery shopping, and taking the girl back n forth to various places. Forever21 Top / New York & Co Pant / H&M Wedges
What I wore on Saturday.
However, today is much better. I got the chance to exercise and finish The Hunger Games (1st of the trilogy) & a darn good book. Now I'm catching up on some blogging.
Let's begin with dinner...today I made chili. I call this my 'quick fix' chili. Why? Because I make 2 different types of chili. One has more ingredients and the slow cooker is used; the other doesn't require too many ingredients nor a slow cooker.
It was very easy to make & only takes about an hour and 40 minutes of preparation and cook time. It's not spicey and it's easy! So if you want to see the full recipe, please go to the recipes box at the bottom left-hand side of my site. Or simply click here.
Now for the dress...while in Miami earlier this year; shopping along South Beach, I came across the Mango store. I've been to Miami before--how did I miss this store?!--anyway, I wasn't alone. I had my mother & daughter with me. We all walked into the store & this dress caught my eye. Not only is it right up my alley as far as comfort...it was pretty cute! So my dearest mother, who really wanted to buy me a gift, purchased it for me.
I love it! All I did was pair it with a cute wedge (from Payless $7) and it was a wrap!
The weather has noticeably changed. However, I believe a great part of this change is due to the remnants of Hurricane Lee. For the past few days, we've had much cooler temps --around 70ish--and some rain.
Well the rain has finally left; the temps will remain cooler, but more like around the 80's.
I love it regardless.
Today was perfect for the tuxedo blazer worn....along with my booties.
Tomorrow we should expect nothing but sunshine....can't wait!
