pants & sweater: NY&Co / turtleneck: H&M / boots: Charlotte Russe / necklace: Forever21
From time to time, I'll come across a blog and the author will state that they didn't post an outfit because it wasn't deemed worthy. Yet, you wore it out?
Now, I may not wear any Chanel, or have every single Jeffrey Campbell shoe there is, but I do find my outfits to be stylish in some sense or another. Otherwise, I wouldn't wear the clothing outside of my house.
There are times when I know that I may walk out looking like plain Jane...but that's just me. Remember I go for pieces that keep me comfy, yet stylish. I don't care if it's a pair of distressed jeans and Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. I chose to wear it, I thought it was cute, therefore I'm posting it.
It's My Taste...you should be able to wear what you want--what you like.
It is different when someone is starting a blog in hopes to obtain help from others -- trying to change up their style...or update their style in some form or fashion. We all do that in some kind of way.
I will admit -- I do get inspiration from a lot of wonderful bloggers out there. But, I still remain true to who I am. I'm trying to show you guys who I am. I don't dress up everyday, I don't even wear heels everyday (oh wait...maybe I do; every other day). What I'm saying is that I'm not trying to impress anyone. I challenge myself everyday; and yet there are most days that I don't even feel like dressing.
Even on those days...I post. Take today for instance...
Now off to calm my daughter. She's watching basketball and I swear she is going to have a heart attack.

Crazy days lead to memory loss...lol
blog (A Little Bit of Lacquer)
She's a Harvard medical student, totally adorable, and her style is simple yet chic.
The skirt above is actually a scarf!!
I love her blog. It's not over the top. She keeps it simple. Laura also just started created videos on YouTube...totally cute!
I admire women who are goal oriented, and Laura is doing her thing.
Check her out if you haven't already.

However I still managed to take some photos of my ... casual Thursday attire.
I am officially on vacation until next week Tuesday...YAY!
I plan on relaxing, eating good food, and enjoying friends and family.
sweater: Old Navy / Tshirt: H&M / jeans: Gap / booties: ShoeLand
That being said...I'm leaving now to do nothing and hope to catch some old episodes of Law & Order (yes, I'm addicted).

I'm lazy. This is a lazy week for me. I started not to even post, but then I thought about it...I figured that I would share my off days with you guys too!
Now I'm going back to watch Law & Order.
Have a good night!

Since my daughter has been out of school for her holiday vacation, I've been waking up--every morning--late. Yes...I set my alarm clock, but they shouldn't make those 'snooze' buttons on them.
So my outfits have been totally looking last minute. I didn't even take a photo of my outfit from Monday because I had so much to do after work.
Here's my outfit today--it doesn't help that the weather is all gloomy & rainy.
sweater & skirt: H&M / leather jacket: gifted to my daughter but she can't fit it any longer (arms are E.T.) / booties: Shoeland / necklace: WalMart / bag: Target / rings: ??
I managed to get these shots in right before the rain started again.
I woke up at 6:45 AM (have to be at work by 7:30 AM), not knowing what I was going to wear, and found this skirt. Sooooo, I didn't feel like searching for a nice blouse or a top period. However, I reached into my dresser and pulled out a plain ole black sweater. It worked for me...*shrugs shoulders*
I didn't want to be totally drab so I added the necklace & the rings.
I'm not feelin' it this week. It's dreary...and I just want to stay in bed in my PJ's with some hot chocolate (preferably the salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks), and finish reading my book.
That's all I want to do.
Thursday can't get here soon enough! I ready for my vacation!

This is me...
sweater: Old Navy / jeans: NY&Co (old) / loafers: Target / necklace: Charlotte Russe
I was content; no worries...no stress. After dropping my daughter off at work, I needed to take care of some last minute holiday errands. Let's just say, I didn't complete my mission. I'm not very happy, but I don't have a photo to show you my annoyed look.
It's CRAZY out there! Traffic is a nightmare, and people are just plain rude. The holidays are supposed to bring joy and happiness...these people out there...they have no manners, and are ruthless. Okaaaay!
So, I'm back at home. I'm going to see what's on TV and chill until it's time for me to go get the girl.

I'm not sure when I stumbled upon Tanesha's blog (Girl with Curves), but I was happy I did.
She has such an inspiring blog in which she offers wonderful styling tips, advice, and
so much more for the woman with a curvy physique.
She's sophisticated, and totally gorgeous!
My daughter also visits her blog frequently, because she's always wanting to see
what Tanesha's going to do with her hair.
Check her out! She's awesome.

sweater & pleated skirt: Old Navy / boots: ShoeLand / flower ring: Forever21 (Old)
It was one of those days that I wished I could have stayed in my bed all day. Next best thing was to wear one of my coziest sweaters from Old Navy. I love this sweater! It has become my 'go-to' cozy piece. And I just wanted to wear it with a maxi. I've seen this style on other blogs before & decided to give it a try. I thought it worked.
Also, you can't really see my hair...but I put my hair in a bun & I was really proud of it. I used an old sock to create the donut piece. Very simple. I got the idea from Syl and Sam's blog.
Ok, so now I'm off to catch up on some of my blogs!

I love when my weekends include:
and ME time
I was waiting for this moment to come--a weekend when there's nothing to do.
I went to the movies to go see The Sitter & New Year's Eve. Both movies were really good. The Sitter was hilarious! I love Jonah Hill, he's too funny!

I'm sure many of you may have already been to her blog a gazillion times.
I've been following Krystal since I started my blog.
Her style is effortless.
Just straight up awesome!
I'm sure you'll enjoy...

Anyone who knows me know that I am not a pink wearing female. I may choose purple or something like that however.
I remember buying this dress for only $10 at the store and I just couldn't pass it up. I got it months ago & decided that I could wear it today.
Here's a closer look at the clutch.
It was a simple outfit, yet still stylish and leaving me in a comfortable state.
Now, you probably won't see me wearing anymore pink(ish) attire, but I just had to share this dress with you all.
December 6, 2011
The weather (temperature) has been unseasonal lately. We were at 70 yesterday & 66 today. Rain finally arrived. However, I was able to squeeze in a couple of shots of my outfit today while the rain briefly halted. Yep...more shorts with tights.
Well back to reading some more blogs!
