Coffee Talk: Words & Phrases That Annoy Me

jeandress-horz
We all have those words or phrases that bother us...well here are mine.

YOLO - You Only Live Once - this is not even a word!
CRAY - (ugh) - supposedly short for crazy.
MOIST
WHATEVER - I annoy myself when I say it...
EPIC
TRUTH BE TOLD
YA FEEL ME
AT THE END OF THE DAY
PET PARENT - ... ....
MAN CAVE - this doesn't mean that I want to start hearing woman cave either...
GINORMOUS - what is that?
ME...PERSONALLY or ME...MYSELF
24/7
LIKE - used before every sentence; ex: "like, I'm going to the store."
AGREEANCE - ?
ASAP - just say it!
AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME
BEEN THERE, DONE THAT
DEALIO - why am I still hearing this?
THE FACT OF THE MATTER
SWAG - ugh...
HELLA
IT IS WHAT IT IS
MY BAD - just apologize; say it's your mistake!
SAME DIFFERENCE - definitely one Oxymoron I do not like
THAT BEING SAID
THESE ONES - really?
VANILLA FOLDER - they are manila folders
WELCOME TO MY WORLD
HUH - I prefer you to just say 'what'
TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE - not if one is a total moron; on top of that, they better both be mentally functioning too!

My bonus:

Those who speak/talk in question form.

Example: My name is xxx? / So I went to her house? / He was so wrong?

Well, do you know or not?

  2. Corie, I am cracking up over here!! I have never heard someone talking and use YOLO or Cray. I've only heard them in songs. I think that would be too funny!

Vanilla Folder is used all to often in my office by some of the most educated people. I always laugh to myself when I hear it.

A phrases that annoy me are, "I'm just saying..." or "No offense, but..."

They just bother me to my core. LOL!

Cute hair! And I love your dress!!

  6. LOL! Cute post. I agree with most, though I do say, It is what it is and I'm just saying. Sometimes they are the PERFECT phrase that I need.

  7. This is hilarious!! I agree with all BUT "hella." I'm born and raised in Cali, so this is close to my heart.

  8. I HATE irregardless! It's not a real word. By definition regardless means what people are intending to say when they say irregardless. If the feel the need to put an "ir" on a word then the appropriate word to use is irrespective.

  17. Funny list!! I use some of these, I will say "whatever" and "it is what is it". But I'm starting to not like saying "it is what it is".

I can't stand "you know what I'm saying", because I am thinking "no not really". I hate, "you ain't about this life", I'm thinking the whole time "what life would that be?" I blame Evelyn for that one.......

I guess I am old and out of touch because I have never heard of YOLO or "Pet Parent".

I see "moist" on the least and I assume it is used in some way other than to describe a cake or something, LOLOL?!?!?! I'm not up on all the latest lingo. :-|

Another one I can't stand is "this that and the other", I don't know what this, that or the other is, I need you to explain that to me.
