I'm going to do things a little differently this Friday. Instead of me posting a single feature (along with photos), I'm going to post links to multiple sites. Some of you may know that I love photography; so much that I even purchased a new camera...a Canon EOS T2i. I can't wait until it arrives! It has a higher megapixel than my Nikon D5000; however I will keep my Nikon as well until I decide if I truly want to sell it or not.
So what I wanted to add are blogs that inspire me not only by the clothing the person may wear, but also the photo(s) which were taken. Some photos may be an outfit photo...while others are just simply nice crisp shots taken of random objects.
Yvonne from the blog frl.klein. She has absolutely the best food photos (everything she bakes looks so good); she also lists the recipes. Yvonne posts up really nice pictures of just random items around her home as well. I love how clear and artistic the photos look.
Kerti from the blog Kertiii has gorgeous, artistic photos. She also takes pictures of her outfits which are very artistic and cute as well. She seems to use 2 different types of cameras; CanonEOS 400D & 600D which are both awesome cameras! Love the shots taken with each.
Angelica Blick from the blog angleicablick.se has one of the most classic styles. Not only are her photos awesome, but she wears such chic outfits.
Sylvia from the blog Rock & Roses always takes wonderful photos of her daily outfits. She uses a Canon 5D (which I will be working my way up soon) and the photos are so clear--noise free almost. She also wears the cutest and classy outfits!
The weather was perfect. And instead of me sporting all basic colors, I wanted to add a touch of color to brighten things up a bit.
I'm loving these heels I purchased from Charlotte Russe for only $10. They feel like there's some sort of cushion on the bottom. I literally wore these all day; even after work while I was with my daughter.
Now I wish I would have purchased the blue pair.
Anyway, I'm tired. I had a long and busy day. Time for sleepy...
18 years ago today, I had given birth to the most beautiful (8 lb 5 oz) baby girl. I remember going to my doctor's office and telling her that this baby needs to come out NOW! My doctor was like ok...it is time & that she will meet me at the hospital.
My mom had driven me to the hospital in a freakin' blizzard! It was cold...snowing and just a really dangerous day overall.
But after15 hours of labor pains, she was born!
I feel blessed to have had such an amazing young woman; who's intelligent, sweet, and lovable. I'm very proud of her. She's a special individual and I love the person she's become thus far.
Okay, so instead of me featuring another wonderful and new blogger today, I will feature my daughter's high school fashion show.
Some of you may know that my daughter is in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and one of her school courses is Fashion Marketing.
Well, her fashion marketing class and DECA presented their 4th annual fashion show, at the high school, last night.
My daughter and her friend Brittany were behind the music, the clothing, and helped with choosing the models. When I say they were behind the clothing, I'm saying they were the ones going to the stores like Forever21, Delia's, Papaya, Francesca's, David Bridal, Men's Warehouse, the thrift store and Cinderella's Closet; picking up clothes to be worn in the show. Isn't it amazing that these stores allowed them to borrow their clothing for a high school fashion show?
Anyway...The girls also styled the models, including the guys. Now they did work with one of the students who has his own line out now (for males). He styled some of the guys in the show as well.
The show was called Viva La Moda and there were 4 scenes; Summer/Spring looks, Forever Love, BAS (Brittany, Asiah, Steveo), and Marry the Night. Here are most of the looks from this fashion show:
My daughter actually DIY'd these shorts. I think they used to be pants she purchased from the thrift store.
