This past Saturday, I attended yet another Swapnista event in Atlanta. Just like the one I attended in the fall of last year; it was totally awesome! However, this time the event had taken place at House of Adrene. Again, I didn't participate in the Fashion Swap, but I think I will next time. Instead, I enjoyed watching the Style Wars Fashion Show; with all of the fashionable bloggers modeling off their wonderful outfits showcasing all of this year's trends.
It's funny...when my daughter and I first arrived, we felt like we were at a party! There were so many fashionable people there. The music was flowing...they had a really good DJ. And it was good seeing the familiar faces of Eboni, Trina, Karen, Breck, and Kerrie again. It was also good to finally meet Charee and Curvie Birdie. I was so happy to meet everyone--including the new faces.
I definitely plan on attending the September edition...
For your enjoyment, here are some of the pics I had taken at the event.
This post today is to give my thanks to each and every one of you. I know I’ve thanked you all recently; but, I felt the need to say it again; to be honest with you, I can’t thank you enough.
I remember when I created my blog back in 2009, and thought that my mom was going to love it…my friends were going to be so happy because they could feel as though they’re a little closer to me, considering I live in Atlanta and my friends and family live in various locations outside of Georgia.
My first blog post was this; just an introductory. I had no clue as to what or how I was going to start this online diary. Before my online diary, I was creatingfamily newsletters; sending them out to all of my friends and family. This was easy. My newsletters were created using Publisher and I knew this program in and out. However, postage and timing was an issue. Online blogging was the answer.
Initially my blog posts were about the jewelry I created, the nature photos taken, recipes, and my dog Levi. Occasionly I would post an outfit picture up. I was skeptic in putting up photos of myself, but some of my friends talked me in to doing just that. And I haven't looked back.
Now, in a sense, I guess you can say that I've added more fashion posts; thus, my blog turning into more of a fashion blog. But as you can all see, I've added a bit of lifestyle to go along with the fashion.
